Can Slink work without a Mac at home?

The short answer is no.

Slink requires at least one Mac within your home network to connect to. The home Mac must meet the following requirements:

  • Mac OS X 10.5.8 or later
  • Intel Mac
  • The Slink Agent must be installed.
  • The broadband router must support UPnP or NAT-PMP in order for the Slink Agent to automatically configure it.

You say:

You may also configure your router manually and forward a port to the mac running the slink agent...
