Accessing iTunes Home Shares remotely on iOS devices

The description of Tune In says that you can access your iTunes Home Shares from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch. I'm assuming there is going to be an app made available in the App Store? If so, how long before it's made available?

Tune In is initially Mac OS X only.

What you can do however, is to configure the Tune In Preferences > Advanced with "Make remote iTunes shares available to" set to "All devices on the local network".

Then when you are connected with Tune In on your remote Mac, you can use all your iTunes home shares from your "home network" on your iOS devices.

This requires:

- iOS 4.3 or later to support Home Sharing;
- That your iOS device is on the same local network as your remote Mac running Tune In.

Just let us know if you got any questions or issues with getting this going!

you don't need this app to do that, as it's already built into itunes for the local network.  what it should do is access it from a remote network or through 3g, at least thats what i would assume since the functionality is already there, without tunein, all u need is the free Apple app called "Remote"
